Sunday in Milan
Last Sunday, the (4) guys and a few of the brave girls hopped on a train to Milan, Italy for the AC Milan soccer game. From there we ventured into the city and ate at a small pizza shop/discoteca before catching the metro to the game.
Since we were all warned about the gypsies that try to rob unsuspecting passengers, we were all on high alert on the Metro. We didn’t have any problems and the world-class accordion playing gypsy actually provided us with some entertainment. After a short walk we arrived at San Serio, the home to the AC Milan futbol team.

We stayed for the majority of the game, but we had to leave early in order to see a few more sights and catch our train. Not to mention that the home crowd was getting a little restless after their team fell behind by a few goals. The final score ended up being 4-4 and it was pretty cool to see some of the best soccer players in the world play. On a side note I also realized I should never be allowed to wear a scarf. From there we caught the Metro and headed to one of the many Duomos of Italy. A Duomo is a massive church, this one was said to have a capacity of 40,000 people. I’m not buying it though.
The view from the outside of the Duomo in Milan.

The inside of the Duomo. It was a massive building and had some pretty bad ass organs. It was amazing to see some of the stained glass windows and how the building was so well intact after being around for so long.
Table of Candles inside the Duomo. After we left the Duomo we walked around the rest of the area and took a few pictures, had some gelato, and got tricked into buying a few cheap toys from the street peddlers. Overall, a great trip and I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of Italy in the coming months.
